Nieuwegein, the Netherlands, 10 December 2012
Microsoft has made Ordina a Microsoft Gold Partner in Communications. Microsoft
grants this title to companies with extensive know-how of Lync, Microsoft's
complete communications solution. The Gold Partner in Communications must also
have proven experience with successful implementations of Lync. The appointment
is a clear boost to Ordina's services portfolio in the field of United
Communications & Collaboration, one of the company's main innovation themes.
"Being made a Microsoft Gold Partner in Communications is clear recognition of
our know-how and expertise in the field of our innovation theme Unified
Communications & Collaboration", says Barend de Zoete, Director of Professional
Services & Projects at Ordina. "Lync is an important product in our service
package in this field. We have chosen to invest in the expansion of our services
and expertise in the field of Lync. Last week, we launched our Lync-in-the-box
product, which allows organisations to explore the possibilities of Unified
Communications & Collaboration without any obligation to buy. We also closed a
cooperation agreement with Aspect, aimed at integrating Lync in Aspect software.
Thanks to this cooperation, contact centres will also be able to benefit from
the advantages of Unified Communications. For us, being appointed Gold Partner
in Communications by Microsoft means additional recognition of our know-how and
expertise in the field of Unified Communications & Collaboration."
Lync integrates all business communications in a single platform, combined with
information on the physical availability of a person. This allows employees to
very quickly see the best way to contact a colleague, whether this is via
telephone, chat or e-mail. Long-distance cooperation and discussions are also
more efficient with Lync. For instance, you can arrange a conference call and
everybody can work on the same document simultaneously.
The Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status is a global quality label that
Microsoft grants to companies with a sufficient number of certified
professionals. The partner also has to demonstrate that these employees have
applied their Microsoft know-how and skills in client projects. Ordina has
extensive experience with the implementation of Lync together with the
implementation of Samen Slimmer Werken (working smarter together) in the
processes of organisations. Ordina uses the combination of software solutions
such as Lync with its know-how of how to adopt these solutions in processes and
operating methods to provide organisations all-round support in their transition
towards a more efficient and more effective way of working.
Ordina employs more than 150 Microsoft-certified professionals in the field of
infrastructure, software development and business intelligence.
